Club Shift Manager

The Role:

We are looking for a self – motivated and experienced Club Shift Manager who can help our organisation to grow. The Club Shift Manager should be able to network and build lasting, professional relationships with our members, while constantly looking for ways to increase staff efficiency, sales, and Club membership. The Club Shift Manager’s responsibilities include working with a broad client base and a capable team of staff. To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed orientated with proven hospitality or shift management experience. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the Club, whilst remaining customer focused at all times,
  • Roster management and control
  • Bar stock ordering and control including monthly stock take
  • Function bookings, liaison, and control of function on shift
  • Compliance with RSA, RSG and Workplace Health and Safety,
  • Prompt and professional handling of customer grievance,
  • POS Management, balancing and recording.
  • Provide supervision and training to new and existing staff members.

 

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Unrestricted Australian Working rights
  • Current RSA and RSG
  • Experience within Clubs, or similar hospitality venues.
  • Have an extremely strong work ethic, showing integrity and professional demeanour
  • Strong understanding of Club management best practices
  • High level communication skills, written, verbal and listening
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail
  • A ‘can do’ attitude

Bowls Coordinator 

The Role:

CluBarham is entering exciting times with the newly designed and built Tiger Turf Bowls greens at our Services venue. Therefore, we are looking for a self – motivated, enthusiastic go getter to fill the newly created position of Bowls Coordinator. To be successful, you will be able to network and build lasting, professional relationships with our members, the local community and tourists, whilst organising and coordinating the marketing (with assistance from the Clubs marketing department, promotion and administration of the bowling events. To excel, you must be flexible, approachable and detail orientated with an engaging and fun personality. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

This exciting role is Part Time, however, could lead to Full Time for the right person. In the first two months the role will be demanding and may require up to 35 hours per week until the position is settled. This position is classified as a Leisure Attendant Grade 3 under the Registered and Licence Club’s Award 2020.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake marketing and advertising of CluBarham’s bowls facility to members and the wider community.
  • Possess skills to attract new business by networking, promoting, advertising and other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Assist with the development of bowls sponsorship and advertising programs.
  • Establish and promote new day and night events to increase bowls participation.
  • Develop marketing strategy to encourage members, juniors, and the greater community to participate in bowls and to increase full membership.
  • Promote strong fellowship among bowling and non-bowling members.
  • Liaise with peak bodies, local and State Government to attract regional and State events.

 

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Unrestricted Australian Working rights
  • Experience within Clubs, or similar hospitality/ sporting venues.
  • Creativity, personality, and presentation
  • Strong understanding of Bowling events best practices
  • High level communication skills, written, verbal and listening.
  • Demonstrated marketing and promotion skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Current RSA – or willingness to obtain upon employment.
